IM BACK! from a state wide power outage!

Few,, This has been one heck of a week. Friday night my water heater blew a hole out the bottom, needless to say it was in the middle of the night so no one knows how long it ran before i turned it off, so there goes the electric bill.. So Saturday i ended up installing a new one, then our power went out due to the storm, We got 14" of heavy snow, 3 downed branches, one on the roof, one on the shed, and another that's still stuck in the dang tree, that wont come down, then finally Wednesday night we got power, ahh it was such a nice sound to hear the furnace kick on with the sound of warm air flowing threw the air ducts. we had closed the house off down to two rooms, so we could run the MR. Buddy heater to keep warm, and i had a two burner propane camp stove to cook off of, i took 3 shoebox size totes packed them with snow and shoved them in the frig, and one in the freezer, i had to drain them of water every morning and repack them, but it kept the food fresh threw out the week. then i ran out of gas, and of course no one had the little one pound tanks after i ran out but i did find one of the hoses that adapts to the 20lb tank, and that's all i needed since i had just had mine filled. after i think it was day 2, the kids went nuts because there gameboy things ran out of juice, AAHHHHH! yet i even had the little one learning how to play 500 rummy, got pretty good, beat me (with moms help) but i did come up with 3 good meals for four, and for under five bucks, and thats what i wanted to post, quick, easy, and all you need is a stove..
All under $5, filled both me the wife, and kids 7 & 11, and the 11 can eat more then me and the little one is so freaking picky, well both are, but they liked them, especially the day 2!!  JR

Chic-A-Cheez
2-boxes of mac & cheez
1-pack of short cut chicken strips,
boil the mac, fine dice the chicken and fry to liking, then mix,

Speggs
1-dozen eggs
1-can of spam
1-handful of shredded cheese/ if wanted
finely dice the spam, and stir in pan to liking, scramble the eggs, then add the spam stir and add the cheese, makes it sticky, and holds the eggs and spam together, of course add any other spices,

Spack
2-boxes of mac & cheez
1-can of bacon spam
boil the mac, then finely dice the spam and fry, when ready, mix all together!

(King Germ Grenade) I saw what they call a Germ Grenade, yet at the same time they want like $25 for a little 2oz bottle of hand sanitizer that you can get for $2? i thought i had one of those small bottles, so i looked around and sure enough i did. now basically all it is a cobra stitch around, then loop side to side. but i didn't really like how it was looking, so i looked it up and couldn't find one post with a king cobra. so i decided to be the first(unless anyone else has) and low and behold here's what it looks like, unless i did it wrong, i also put a split ring on it to make it look like the real thing.. JR

P.S. it took me longer then i thought it would take due to whats in the last pic, if you look closely there's fur at the top of the pic, that fur ball went nuts chasing and rolling in the dang paracord!

Wrench and Accessories

The little guy asked me again this year to take the training wheels off again, so i grabbed the wrench took them off, and left the wrench right next to the wheels while we gave it another go. All the way around the park we went, a couple slip ups but did good, so now the second time we go! this time i let go after 10 feet, and like any kid does he decides to look back, (OH THAT FACE IS PRICELESS) well i was going to cheer him on, but as he turns to look back he also turns the handlebars, and head right to the riding lawnmower, and he was backing up right toward him, EEEK, but he stopped, then the little guy noticed and also stopped, round "3" ok do you need me to give you a shove off? "no, i think i got this, i want to try on my own! NO you go sit down, i wont move till you go sit" kick, kick, kick, balance, steady, peddle, and were off! Woo-hoo! hes got it, were(the whole park) are all cheering him on, then he vanishes behind the car, were looking at the other end waiting, waiting, nothing, no kid, he flopped... so i go help him up, he was fine, after 5 mins i couldn't get him to stop, now the next morning he wont stop asking me to take him out, guess the training wheels are trash now, and i can put the wrench back in the box, guess well see...  

New Toy

Ive always had a SAK, (Swiss Army Knife) but never a alox, (with unique aluminum handles, called scales)  i found one online but i must have asked 5 questions because the pic that they showed was with red one, yet they don't make them in red anymore, only the plastic ones. sure enough they said what you see is what you get! so i ordered one, and when it came in, it was RED, i asked around, and it gets even better, they used to make them red a while back, and then stopped, sure enough they started making them again but only for a short period of time, and the way you can tell the diff is by the liners between the tools, also the symbol, well, sure enough the symbol points to the old style, and also the liners are brass, which they don't use anymore. i lucked out on this one, i should have grabbed the rest of them... oh well, i got what i wanted! now if i can get someone to modify it to what i want, i can get the stuff to do it myself but i want it done perfect and professional

New Day

Flocking "A" it spiked to 101 the other week while our niece was up on a trip, grant it we have an A/C unit but its only designed to basically drop the room temp 20, so we were still baking... even at night it only dropped to 75-80, but were back to an enjoyable temp. last night was quite enjoyable, out for dinner with our neighbors, and when we came back we started up the fire pit up, sat down, i lit up a stogie, and then just chilllled. oh how relaxing!

Swiss Army of Another Color

 I was after something a little diff, and i always liked Swiss Army Knives, so i went along with them and changed the outsides, whats known as scales, and instead of a hot red, i decided on carbon fiber, very unique! i must say!!! there's a couple ways to do it first up i have the smaller ones, called a "Rambler" perfect for the key chain! small everything, Knife, scissors, nail file, screwdrivers, and bottle opener...

 

 Next up, perfect for the pocket, is the "Recruit" large and small knife, can opener, bottle opener, large and small screwdriver, the only downfall is that i took out the tweezers, and toothpick on both models, kinda sucks, but i carry a small stash of toothpicks in a little carrier, which just leaves the tweezers, heck they just might fit in the carrier, that is if i can find them, lol

Back up and running!

Well, i stopped posting for awhile, since no one commented on anything, but now im back up and running, ill be posting pics of projects that ive done, leather, paracord and whatever else i come up with. who know, maybe ill leave some info that will get you going!!!
